05 Dec, 2011 01:00 AM
CHRISTMAS cheer will be spread along the East Coast this year with help from the Australian Army Band - Tasmania.

The band will perform at the Triabunna Carols by the Marina and St Helens Carols on the Foreshore.

This will be the first time in three years that Triabunna has held a carols event.

The annual Spring Bay Lions Club Christmas parade begins at 5.30pm on Friday, December 9, before the carols at 7pm.

The 30-piece army band will then move up the coast to St Helens and perform its concert on Saturday, December 10, at 7.30pm.

Christmas jingles and a visit from a very popular man will be highlights at both event.

For more information call Glamorgan-Spring Bay Council on 62574778, or for St Helens call the Christian Fellowship Centre on 63761201.
